Magnetic paint

Have you heard of magnetic paint? I hadn't either, last summer I was asked by Cambridge University to decorate some student rooms and offices in Cambridge, nothing unusual there, when the spec came through I noticed magnetic paint to be applied. After doing some research I came across a couple of manufacturers one for the Diy market and the other for professionals.

The product turned out to be very effective, you apply 3 coats before decorating and you are left with a magnetic wall painted in your chosen colour. Ideal for student rooms and offices where blu tack and pins are the norm, not great when it's time for redecoration.

Late last year whilst working on a new restaurant in Cambridge we was asked to paint a chalkboard area for the menu, I suggested the magnetic paint would be a good idea coupled with magnetic letters printed in the company font, as you can see this was another success for magnetic paint.
